JESUS NEVER SAID IT WAS GOING TO BE EASY!

Jesus Says: "Very truly I tell you, NO SERVANT IS GREATER THAN HIS MASTER, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent Him." (John 13:16)

The Christian life is NOT an easy one to live. The world, your family, your friends, will NOT always like or accept that you have chosen to live your life for Christ (Galatians 2:20).  As a matter of fact, Jesus said that the world will hate you (Us) for following Him. Jesus said: "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, YOU DO NOT BELONG TO THE WORLD, but I have CHOSEN YOU out of the world. That is WHY the world HATES YOU." (John 15:18-19)

The closer we get to Jesus, the more we spend time with Him in prayer and Bible studies, the more we will act and be like Jesus. Being like Him means we are going to gain many enemies in the world because we will be acting and speaking like He did. (1 John 2:6) Being like Jesus means a lot of people are going to feel convicted around us as they did when Jesus was here on earth. This is what Jesus told his brothers for the reasons the world hated Him... "The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that its works are evil." (John 7:7) Friends, there's no way around this one...People are going to hate us because we testify as Jesus did that how they live and what they do is evil.

The real Christ like person is a surprise to many people, in that we don't join the world in living "for self", but it's because the Bible teaches us to live differently from the world. The "Holy Scriptures" tells us, to live and conduct ourselves as Christ did while we wait for His to return back to the earth. This is what it says:

Peter tells us:

"Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin. (WATCH THIS...DON'T MISS IT!) As a result, they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God." For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. "They are SURPRISED that you do not join them in their reckless, wild living, and they HEAP ABUSE ON YOU. But they will have to give account to him WHO IS READY TO JUDGE the living and the dead." (1 Peter 4:1-5)

Paul tells us this:

"For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. (WATCH THIS...DON'T MISS IT!) IT TEACHES US TO SAY "NO" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and TO LIVE self-controlled, upright and GODLY lives in this present age, WHILE WE WAIT FOR THE BLESSED HOPE—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good." (Titus 2:11-14)

Peter tells us again in 2 Peter:

"So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO BE FOUND SPOTLESS, BLAMELESS AND AT PEACE WITH HIM (Jesus Christ). (2 Peter 3:14) This life that we live for Christ is a 24/7- 365 days commitment and devotion to our Savior and Jesus is completely worth it, my friends! The Bible says: "GOD IS NOT UNJUST; HE WILL NOT FORGET YOUR WORK AND THE LOVE YOU HAVE SHOWN HIM..." (Hebrews 6:10) 

John tells us this:

"And now, dear children, continue in Him, (WATCH THIS... DON'T MISS IT!) SO THAT WHEN HE APPEARS we may be CONFIDENT and UNASHAMED before Him AT HIS COMING. If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him." (1 John 2:28-29)

Note: People may think we're strange for not living like them in this world but we are commanded in the "Holy Scriptures" to live holy, spotless, righteous and blameless lives in this world. Jesus already told us "If we "LOVE HIM" we will OBEY what He commands. (John 14:15, 21, 23-24, John 15:14, Luke 6:46)

The BIBLE Says:

"We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. WHOEVER says, "I know him," BUT DOES NOT DO what he commands is a LIAR, and the truth is NOT in that person. But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: WHOEVER CLAIMS TO LIVE IN HIM MUST LIVE AS JESUS DID." (1 John 2:3-6)

Note: WE ARE LIVING FOR CHRIST AND NOT FOR OURSELVES..."FOR YOU DIED, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. WHEN CHRIST, WHO IS YOUR LIFE, APPEARS, then you also will appear with Him in glory." (Colossians 3:3-4)  Another scripture that shows we are "Living4Christ!" and NOT for Ourselves...."I HAVE BEEN CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST AND I NO LONGER LIVE, BUT CHRIST LIVES IN ME. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." (Galatians 2:20) Amen!!!

Those that DO NOT heed the Bible's warning to live a holy, spotless, blameless, righteous life in this world will be the ones that will hear from Jesus on judgment day "I NEVER KNEW YOU. AWAY FROM ME, YOU EVIL DOERS!" (Matthew 7:23)

Friends, TIME IS SHORT!!!  Be faithful...Be an overcomer in Jesus name! DO NOT let ANYTHING or ANYONE stray you from the righteous path... Soon we will see "THE KING OF GLORY COMING IN THE CLOUDS" (Revelation 1:7, Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)  Amen! 

"THE END OF ALL THINGS IS NEAR. Therefore be ALERT and of  SOBER MIND so that you may PRAY." (1 Peter 4:7)

THE WORLD MAY HATE YOU BUT JESUS LOVES YOU AND I LOVE YOU...."WATCH & PRAY", MY FRIENDS!

As born again believers/followers of Christ, We CANNOT conform to the way the world lives and acts. We are shown through "The Holy Scriptures" That We MUST UNLEARN The bad behavior that we picked up while living in this world WITHOUT Christ in our lives. WE MUST be like Christ in ALL that we do and NOT be overcome with evil but overcome evil with good, As GOD tells us to do! (Romans 12:1-21, 1 Peter 1:14, Isaiah 1:16-17, John 5:14, John 8:11, 1 Peter 3:9, Colossians 3:7-17, 23-25, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 1 Corinthians 15:34, Galatians 5:14-26)
 
Note: As followers of Christ it MUST BE DEEPLY EMBEDDED in our being that "TWO WRONGS WILL NEVER MAKE A RIGHT TO A HOLY GOD!"...We're living for Christ and NOT for ourselves. (Ephesians 1:4, Hebrews 12:14, 1 Peter 1:15-16)

"DO YOU NOT KNOW that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN; you were BOUGHT at a price. Therefore HONOR God with your bodies." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

BE DOERS OF THE WORD OF GOD AND ALWAYS WALK IN LOVE! DO THINGS GOD'S WAY BECAUSE REAL LOVE... DOES CHANGE PEOPLE! (James 1:22, 1 John 4:7-12, John 8:31, 13:35)

The BIBLE Says: "If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I GAIN NOTHING.  LOVE is patient, love is kind. It DOES NOT envy, it DOES NOT boast, it is NOT proud.  It DOES NOT dishonor others, it is NOT self-seeking, it is NOT EASILY angered, it keeps NO RECORD of wrongs.  Love DOES NOT DELIGHT in evil BUT REJOICES with the truth.  It ALWAYS protects, ALWAYS trusts, ALWAYS hopes, ALWAYS perseveres. LOVE NEVER  FAILS." (1 Corinthians 13:3-8)

The Bible also teaches us to: "Bless those who persecute you; BLESS and DO NOT CURSE..."(Romans 12:14) "DO NOT REPAY EVIL WITH EVIL OR INSULT FOR INSULT..." (1 Peter 3:9)

Friends, spend time with God daily, the closer we get to Jesus, the more we WILL BE and ACT like Him. (1 John 2:6) Jesus is returning soon and we must be His faithful "stuarts"/ A ready bride at ALL times... Jesus says: "So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.... "It will be GOOD for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns." (Matthew 24:44, 46, Luke 12:40, 43)

"FOLLOW MY EXAMPLE, AS I FOLLOW THE EXAMPLE OF CHRIST." (1 Corinthians 11:1)

In the same way, FAITH BY ITSELF, IF IT IS NOT ACCOMPANIED BY ACTION IS DEAD."~"AS THE BODY WITHOUT THE SPIRIT IS DEAD, SO FAITH WITHOUT DEEDS IS DEAD."~(James 2:15-17, 26)

Note: When the opportunity presents itself for us to be a blessing to someone in need-We should not let it go by, without us doing something about their need. This is when ACTIONS will speak LOUDER than our words...Our Opportunity to display the love, mercy and compassion of Christ..."Therefore, AS WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY, LET US DO GOOD TO ALL PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY to those who belong to the family of believers." (Galatians 6:10)

WHAT DO WE DO WHILE WE WAIT FOR THE RETURN OF CHRIST?!

   WHAT DO WE DO WHILE WE WAIT FOR THE RETURN OF CHRIST?!

 

As we look and see ALL the things that are happening in the world today…It’s evident that we’re living in the last days and that we are the generation that will see the soon return of Christ. Jesus has already told us in the Holy Scriptures what to look out for (“The Signs” that He would give to us-See Matthew Ch. 24, Luke 21:5-36) that would indicate His return back to the earth. As soon as we see all those things that Jesus spoke about happening in the world…We are told by Christ to “Look up, because our redemption is drawing near.” (Matthew 24:33, Luke 21:28-31)  Friends, we MUST always be READY because we NEVER KNOW when the Trumpet call of GOD will sound. (Matthew 24:31, 42, Luke 21:36, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

 

"WHAT DO WE DO WHILE WE WAIT FOR THE RETURN OF CHRIST?!"

Let’s see what the BIBLE says on what we should be doing as followers of Christ while we wait for “OUR BLESSED HOPE” …

 

Paul tells us: “…TO SAY "NO" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to LIVE self-controlled, upright and GODLY LIVES in this present age, WHILE WE WAIT FOR THE BLESSED HOPE—THE APPEARING of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, EAGER TO DO WHAT IS GOOD.” (Titus 2:12-14)

 

Peter says this to us: “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, “WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE OUGHT YOU TO BE? You ought to LIVE HOLY AND GODLY LIVES as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to A NEW HEAVEN AND THE NEW EARTH, where righteousness dwells. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him… “Therefore, dear friends, SINCE YOU HAVE BEEN FOREWARNED, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and FALL from your secure position. BUT GROW in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.”~ (2 Peter 3:10-14, 17-18)

 

Note: We who have been saved by His GRACE MUST turn away from wickedness and “LIVE self-controlled, upright and GODLY LIVES in this present age…” (Titus 2:12), while we wait for the Lord’s return. We are NOT to be enticed by worldly passions or have anything to do with things that are sinful. The BIBLE says: "Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord MUST turn away from wickedness."~ (2 Timothy 2:19)

 

If we DO NOT heed the Bible warnings to stay away from sinful desires and we continue in our sins even though the Bible teaches us to stay away from them…Then we cannot be too surprised when the Lord tells us “Depart from me you evil doers” instead of hearing “Welcome to my Fathers kingdom.” (Matthew 7:21-23, Matthew 25:34, 41) Obedience to the Lord’s commands is a MUST for ALL of us who call on the name of the Lord. Jesus says: "If you love me, keep my commands. (John 14:15, 21, 23-24, Ch. 15:10, 14)  

There’s no half stepping when it comes to obeying the Lord and His commandments...We have to continue, to daily strive for godly and holy living, it must be a constant devotion and commitment on our part…If Heaven is the place where we want to spend eternity.

 

The Apostle John tells us this:

“This is how we know that we love the children of God: BY LOVING GOD AND CARRYING OUT HIS COMMANDS. In fact, this is love for God: TO KEEP his commands. And his commands ARE NOT burdensome…” (1 John 5:2-4)

 

Note: We are told over and over again through out The Holy Scriptures to obey the Lord and to carry out His commands. Jesus has to take supremacy in our everyday life in order for us to have success in living the “Christ-like” life. (1 John 2:6) Jesus tells us that “Apart from Him we can do NOTHING.” (John 15:5) Spend time with Him daily in prayer and Bible studies/reading…Jesus will empower you to live the godly and holy life, if you just seek Him daily. Ask the Lord to help you and to teach you to live for Him. (Matthew 6:33, Matthew 7:7-11, James 4:2)

DO NOT put yourself in any situation where you know you’re going to fail God…  “Do not be misled: "BAD company CORRUPTS good character." (1 Corinthians 15:33) Take an inventory in your life and get rid of everything that hinders your walk with the Lord… “LET US THROW OFF EVERYTHING THAT HINDERS AND THE SIN THAT SO EASILY ENTANGLES. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, FIXING OUR EYES ON JESUS, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” (Hebrews 12:1-2, James 1:21-22, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Colossians 3:8-10, Matthew 13:41-42, Ephesians 4:31-32, Ephesians 5:1-10, Galatians 5:13-26,)  Remember friends… “Without holiness NO ONE will see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14)

 

The Bible Says: “We know that ANYONE BORN OF GOD DOES NOT CONTINUE TO SIN; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.” (1 John 5:18) If we truly have been born again- According to the Bible we would NOT be (Purposefully and willfully) sinning… “NO ONE WHO LIVES IN HIM (Jesus Christ) KEEPS ON SINNING. NO ONE WHO CONTINUES TO SIN HAS EITHER SEEN HIM OR KNOWN HIM.” (1 John 3:6)

 

Note: If you have been unfaithful to the Lord…Now is the time to repent of your sins and confess them to Him… “If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just and will FORGIVE us our sins and purify us from ALL unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) Jesus is returning soon…NOTHING in this world is worth losing your salvation!  

 

As we wait for the soon return of Christ we must also be watching and praying  24/7, just as the “wise virgins” in Matthew 25:10 were- “…Make every effort to be FOUND SPOTLESS, BLAMELESS and at peace with Him.” (2 Peter 3:14) Jesus says: “SO YOU ALSO MUST BE READY, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when YOU DO NOT EXPECT HIM” (Matthew 24:44, Luke 12:40) Friends, keep on "Watching & Praying"…Because the King of Glory will soon appear.

 

“Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—CONTINUE TO WORK OUT YOUR SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” (Philippians 2:12-13)

And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. PEOPLE WILL BE TERRIFIED AT WHAT THEY SEE COMING UPON THE EARTH, for the powers in the Heavens will be shaken. THEN EVERYONE will see the Son of Man (Jesus Christ) coming on a cloud with power and great glory."~(Luke 21:10-11, 25-28)~"So when ALL these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is NEAR!"

Jesus is NOT a man that He should lie and He's returning for His bride very soon. Always be ready friends-Keep watch...Because our King can appear at ANYTIME..."LOOK! Jesus says: “If you love me, you will obey what I command.” The Lord tells us if we truly love Him like we say we do, we will NOT be judging others! (Matthew 7:1), we would treat people the way that we would like to be treated! (Matthew 7:12), we would love and pray for our enemies and we would pray for those who persecute us! (Matthew 5:43-44), we would spend time in talking with Jesus (Quality Time) in prayer! (Matthew 6:6) And we definitely wouldn't be purposefully and willfully be sinning either (John 8:11, Galatians 6:7-8, 1 John 3:9-10). We would be loving and caring for our fellow man as Christ Jesus has commanded us to do. (Matthew 5:42, John 13:34) There are many more Scriptures in the Bible that teaches us, that if we truly love the Lord, we would show it by our actions! The Bible Says: "Whoever says, "I know Him (Jesus Christ)," BUT DOES NOT DO what HE commands is a liar, and the truth is NOT in that person..."Whoever claims to live in him MUST LIVE AS JESUS DID."~(1 John 2:4,6)

Display the LOVE of Christ In ALL That You Do And..."By this EVERYONE will know that you are MY DISCIPLES (Jesus Disciples), if you love one another."~(John 13:35)
